children of the gulag

Thanks to Grant for pointing out this Guardian article from 2003:

The US military has admitted that children aged 16 years and younger are among the detainees being interrogated at its prison camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.


As we now know, the "interrogation" going on then was rather "enhanced". Is there any doubt that the US government has tortured children?
