disapearances
That the government can make people disappear without any trace is doubleplus ungood:
"We have families who have not seen their loved ones for years. They've literally disappeared," Mariner told Reuters.
Among the cases detailed in the report is the detention in September 2002 of two children, then aged seven and nine, of confessed September 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who was later detained and is now held at Guantanamo.
That they can make children disappear without any trace is really fucked up. No doubt the kids spend their days getting waterboarded and their nights sleeping in a cage. Freedom is on the march!

While you may suspect that the United States places children in cages, or some such folderol, it is far more likely that the children have been sent back to their own country to be cared for among their own people. Another option is that they have been placed in protective custody of a family here in the U.S. Children placed in cages and/or tortured just because they are the children of a U.S. enemy? You must be confusing this country with Iran... or France.
Since the children's family says they have not seen the children since the US took them I think that rules out that option. What makes you think the US wouldn't put children in cages? It's not like keeping people in cages is unheard of, and really what the fuck does it matter whether they keep them in a cage or a box? THE KIDS ARE FUCKING MISSING. Our government took them as a fucking bargaining chip against their father. Our government threatened to rape and murder these children as part of an "enhanced interrogation technique". Maybe our government HAS raped and murdered these children, perhaps that is why they have disappeared.
Here's a link to a Guardian (UK) article where the military admits children are being kept at Gauntanamo. So its no big leap for our "secret prisons" gov'ment to have disappeared other children. Link:
US detains children
